ST. ALBAN'S FACULTY & STAFF

Tracy Lamon is in her fifth year as Head of School and beginning her 28th year in education. She has served as Director of Academics and Instruction, the Assistant Head of School, a 5th/6th-grade Teacher, and the Enrichment Coordinator at St. Alban’s. She taught in Alief ISD and Katy ISD school district for seven years before moving to Harlingen. Tracy holds a Bachelor of Science in Education with a specialization in reading from Stephen F. Austin University and a Teaching Certificate K-8. Tracy is married to Michael Lamon and has two children, Hunter (24) and Lilly (18). She has served in leadership positions in a number of community organizations including Gladys Porter Zoo Board of Directors, The Algodon Club, The American Heart Association, the Valley Baptist Foundation Board of Directors and now serves on the Texas Private School Association Board (TPSA) as a South Texas Director.

Father John Inserra is in his sixth full year as Rector (Senior Pastor) of St. Alban’s. He is a graduate of Nashotah House Episcopal Seminary with a Master of Divinity cum laud and was ordained a priest in 2010. Prior to St. Alban’s, Fr. John served churches in New Orleans, LA and Sheridan, WY. Fr. John has been married to his wife, Sarah, for 17 years and they have one daughter, Rosie, who is a 4th grader at St. Alban’s. Fr. John is passionate about faith, family, food, and football. He is acquainted well with suffering and heartbreak, being a life-long Buffalo Bills fan.

Amy Harrington is in her 35th year as the Business Manager at St. Alban’s and has served under seven different heads of school. She has two sons who are St. Alban’s alumni: Matthew, who is a Captain in the United States Navy serving in the Maritime Operations Center in Naples, Italy, and Andrew, who is professor at Assumption University in Worcester, MA. Amy’s family is rounded out with 2 grandchildren, Mason and Charlotte, a “grand-dog” Tegan; and a myriad of pets. Amy’s passion is animals; specifically dog rescue.

Cindy Hardwich is in her 15th year at St. Alban's and is Director of Admissions and Daycare. She received her Associates Degree from Del Mar College, Corpus Christi, TX in 2003 and maintains her C.D.A. Cindy has one child, Maven (17). Maven is a St. Alban’s alumni and will be in the 12th grade at Harlingen High School. Maven loves to read and dance, he plans to attend Texas State University, fall of 2024. Dorian is their family cat, they spoil him with lots of love. When Cindy has free time, the beach is calling her name. She can spend hours soaking up the sun and water.

Kay-Lynn Hirst, School Nurse, is in her 2nd year at St. Alban’s Episcopal Day School. She has a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University and has been a pediatric nurse for 22 years. Her experience includes pediatric and neonatal intensive care units, and elementary school nursing. Kay-Lynn is married to Steve Hirst and they have three children, Mary Alice (20), Charlie (17) and Evaline (11). Kay-Lynn is happiest when she is outdoors with her family.

Brooke Newman, Curriculum Specialist, is in her 17th year at St. Alban's Episcopal Day School. She has served as a Second Grade teacher, a Kindergarten teacher, and the Enrichment Coordinator. Prior to coming here, Brooke taught 3rd grade for five years. She has a Bachelor of Elementary Education from Abilene Christian University and an Elementary Teaching Certificate (PK-6th). Brooke is married to Ryan Newman and has two children, Nate (20) and Adeline (18). Both are graduates of St. Alban’s Day School. She is an active member of St. Alban's Episcopal Church.

Prior to coming to St. Alban’s, Maria was a teacher at Wesley Preschool for four years and was a substitute teacher for grades Pre-K through 5th with HCISD. She earned her Texas Teacher’s Certificate (1-8) from Corpus Christi State University (A&M CC). She and her husband Brent have two daughters, Mary Hayden (32) and Emma (28), both graduates of St. Alban's Day School. The Mannings have attended St. Alban’s Church since 1990.

Alicia has a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science (EC-12) degree from Texas State University in San Marcos, as well as an EC-6 Generalist Texas Teaching certification. She is a graduate of St. Alban’s Episcopal Day School, and has been in the St. Alban's community since 1992. She is married to Glynn Forshage, and together they have two children: Landon (8) and Audrey (5) who both attend St. Alban's.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education with a specialization in English/Language Arts from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos and a Texas Teacher’s Certificate, grades 1-8. Tammy and her husband, Jeff, have one grown son, Thomas. They also have one spoiled dog named Penny. She loves music, reading, scrapbooking, the beach, and spending time with family and friends.

Liz and her husband Larry have two grown daughters, Audrey and Lexi; a son-in-law, Brandon; and a granddaughter, Brooke who is in the 4-year-old program at St. Alban’s. Katherine Uhlhorn, our Religious Studies teacher, is in her 15th year at St. Alban's. She has a B.B.A. in Business Analysis and Marketing from Texas A&M University. Katherine is married to Tudor Uhlhorn and has three children, Cutter, Hubbard, and Seton, all graduates of St. Alban’s Episcopal Day School. She served as President of St. Alban’s Day School Board of Trustees. Katherine is an active member of St. Alban's Episcopal Church, serving over 15 years as a Christian formation and confirmation teacher
